Chapter 2: Starter Home

Chapter 2: Starter Home

I chose an empty lot for Amie as I like to create my own homes. Right now I have a one story home with two bedrooms and one bath.  As you walk into the home you will see the living room.  I currently have a desk with a computer, chair, and an art easel.  Eventually, I can add a couch and television.

If you go to the right and through the archway, you will walk into the kitchen. Very minimal counters, and not the ones I wanted, but everything is basically a starter item and can potentially be remodeled and updated as we progress into our challenge.  There is a stove, refridgorater, some counters, a garbage can, a table, and chairs.  I have a way to get outside through the kitchen.  As you walk out you will be in the backyard.  It is also a shorter distance to get to the side of the house where the garden is.

Also off of the kitchen is the bathroom.  I got the cheapest toilet (can’t see in this picture), sink, and shower/bath combination just for now.  It will also help when these break and need repairing.  Amie can then dig through the pile and find items to upgrade each item, or sell the parts.  I am leaning more towards selling the parts and saving for better quality bathroom items.

When you head back into the living room you will see two doors.  One bedroom is Amie’s and the other will be for the toddlers.  I am hoping that some day we can add 2-4 more bedrooms.  The babies need their own room, but for now I will have them in Amie’s room.  The toddlers will need their own room.  Another room will be for the children and teenagers.  I would also like to eventually separate boys and girls for children and teenagers.  For now, when the time comes, they will all have to share until we expand the home. I don’t see the Paulini’s moving out, just remodeling and expanding.

The home is allowed to have three lot traits.  We can again choose any that are listed.  The first trait I have chosen for this lot is on ley line.  This allows our matriarch to have chances with twins.  Bring on this challenge!  If Amie has twins, they will be aged up together and moved out together.  I haven’t decided to move them into any lots at this time.  Currently, the lots near Amie’s home are for our donor men.
The second trait for this lot is of course the romantic aura!  We definitely need this to get our donors into the mood faster.  I know, easy way out but, I am not sure how long this would take without this trait. Now, bring on those men!

The third and final trait is child’s play.  The children will learn faster with this one.  It truly was hard to choose the last trait because I wanted to have great soil for the garden.  I wanted to have the homey trait for mastering cooking, handiness, and gardening quickly.  Home studio would have also been a nice trait for better quality in writing, painting, and woodworking (another way to sell items).

Chapter 1: Creating My First Matriarch

Chapter 1: Creating My First Matriarch

My first matriarch is going to look like me, but weighs less than me. She has brown hair and brown eyes.  Her hair is long. She likes the color blue, as you can tell by most of her outfits, which you will see throughout the pictures that I will be taking.  Amie Paulini is her name and she is a young adult.
She has the big family aspiration with the domestic trait.  The big family aspiration means that Amie wants to build a large, loving household.  Family relationships will grow stronger and faster for the domestic trait.  There are three more traits that can be picked. For Amie, I chose her to have the romance, family oriented, and creative traits.
Being romantic will come in handy, as she will tend to be flirty.  However, we do have to make sure she interacts romantically on occasion because she could become sad if she doesn’t do that in a while.  I see no problem with that.
Next is the family oriented trait.  When she is around family members she is happy.  She will become sad when she doesn’t interact with her family, and is able to boast about family with the family oriented trait.  I feel she will be fine with communication towards her children seems as though it will be a full house most of the time.
Finally, we come to the creative trait.  I chose this one for the painting aspect to make money.  Becoming inspired will help create better portraits.  She will be able to create ideas with other sims. Again, she may become sad if she doesn’t do this in a while.  I will try my best to paint, but there are also other things that Amie can do for earning money, but first we need a starter home for Amie.
